The main "protagonist" of his self-titled fighting game, as well as Vargverse, Joel is a shotoklone of sorts. For Vargverse, he was given some new attacks, his moveset was heavily altered to provide a different gameplay experience, a lot of new voice lines were added, and he gained a new mechanic: Vargfren. When Vargfren is out, he will help Joel mash when using his Fist of the North Star attack. If you want the original Joel experience, look to Mr. Kill.
