Not only is he oddly tall and with a squarish head, but he is assisted by Knuckles, Amy, and a Tails with a mech suit not seen in the source games. I think the creators wanted to Sonic be like his Adventure version (can't be based in '06 Sonic because this char was released before '06), but everyone can say is weird.
