  1. Gear'd lifebars

    By Gear Saber
A slightly modified version of the default WinMUGEN lifebars with some elements taken from the Everything vs. Everything bars. Comes with MvC-inspired hitsparks. Originates from a now-lost screenpack (I wish I had enough hindsight to save more than just the lifebars).
    Resolution: 320x240

  2. Margen

    By K-Ponata (source: https://web.archive.org/web/20031126062424/http://www.planetmugen.com/personajes/hospedados/margen.html)
A nicely-animated OC from 2003. Largely based off of Kung Fu Man, though he does have a couple original moves here and there. One move involves him attacking with the Ace of Wands, while his intro involves him summoning the Monty Python foot. With his fluctuating sprite quality, it seems as if Margen is unfinished, though he's got some funny animations nevertheless.

  3. Crustaceo Cascarudo (aka The Krusty Krab)

By an unknown author, recreated by N_N
A recreation of a stage that has lived in my brain rent-free for the past decade (the one in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrzXIWLDIx4). Not being able to find it anywhere, I settled for the next best thing: remaking it. It's got weird deltas and weirdly stretched sprites, but it's like that in the original too.
    Lowres, animated.

  4. Guy [2004 version]

    By Phantom.of.the.Server
A super old version of one of PotS's earliest creations. He plays completely differently from the "PotS style" people are more familiar with, with no EX moves, no special -> hyper canceling, no rolls, no parrying, no custom combos... In fact, even though he has comboing somewhat reminiscent of the Versus series, he doesn't really appear to play in any certain style whatsoever. He's also got completely different aesthetics from what people normally associate with PotS. This Guy's an interesting one.

  5. Megumin

    By CoffeeFlavoredMilk
I swear it's not as bad as it looks.

One of the main characters of KonoSuba. Plays vaguely similar to a Versus-style character in the combo department, only with EX moves added and not as many features. The author describes her as a "jack-of-all-trades", with her moves either having lots of range or barely any range.

  6. Krusty [2002 version]

    By Warner
The very first version of Warner's very first character! Krusty started off as a spriteswap of Qkrtkf!'s Birdie, something which is made apparent here by how all of the code is completely unmodified from the original character (later versions would edit him to give him less of a resemblance to Birdie). This version of Krusty also features different sprites, less attacks (he can't throw pies, for one), and generally rougher animations. Interestingly, this Krusty was released with an English soundpack, which is funny because almost all of Warner's other characters have Spanish soundpacks instead.
Even though Krusty has obviously been updated since, I figured there'd be some interest in this artifact from the olden days of MUGEN. Warner's come a long way since May 2002.

  7. Mr. Game and Watch

    By GIF_Mr.T, edited by N_N
An edit of Mr. Game & Watch that mainly makes him function more like a conventional fighting game character, i.e. his gameplay has been overhauled. There are a few new moves here and there, like a hyper where he runs up to the opponent and uses 3 different versions of Judge on them. Comes with a slightly modified version of ouchi's AI.
As I last updated this guy 4 years ago, he's a little janky. I've since abandoned him, though he's not that bad for what he is.

  8. DavidGee's Desk

    By DavidGee
The desk of a man by the name of David Gee, circa May 2004. As you can see, Gee is a big fan of IRC and MUGEN, and he lets the whole world know by proudly displaying them on his monitors. Look closely and you'll notice that there's actually an entire IRC conversation going on! If you wait long enough, you'll activate the monitors' screensavers (which just seem to be slideshows of pictures that Gee likes).
    Lowres, animated.

  9. kirby

    By Player1

The first ever Kirby created for MUGEN, dating to late April 2000. This version uses Fighter Kirby's sprites from Kirby Super Star and pretty much plays exactly how you'd expect a character this old to play.

DOES NOT WORK ON ANYTHING THAT ISN'T DOSMUGEN
