Thinking about it, more people have doubted if Mathrus actually exists, but the fact remains. The idea of Mathrus, dragon cheapies, and whatnot, definitely could be an end result of the alleged arms race that happened within the WinMugen sphere of the hobby, and a clear sign that it went too far. You definitely don't need to be ''in the highest tier of power'' to create something malicious, and there is a few demos of viruses that used WinMUGEN that will obviously stay private.

Whatever I have said in the ReadMe, especially the fact that this a parody of cheapie characters, will remains valid as this is why I created this character in the first place.

To be honest, no warehouses or MUGEN websites would take the risk of actually hosting a virus character, and if you have seen a Mathrus there, it is either a joke but legit character (like mine) or a low-key cheapie taking advantage of its name and reputation.

tl;dr, there was an alleged race where authors attemped to make the most OP character in WinMUGEN, no matter the cost, and they went too far.
