    Do you make any stuff in M.U.G.E.N., now?

    Quite a bit! I'm currently working on updating my edit of tannergates' Master Shake (which I've already uploaded) as well as my Scizor character (which I released way back in January 2020 but only got around to actually updating a couple weeks ago). Whenever I make something nowadays it's usually out of impulse. I don't know if I'll ever revisit Captain Lou and make a "proper" version, but it's certainly a possibility.image.thumb.png.a462d9325d3ec1130b6e64c86567856f.png

  2. Definitely the oldest version of Mario that still exists online. It seems like there was an even older version made in late 2000/early 2001 that was hosted on Shin's Geocities site but of course that wasn't archived in time. Still, a very interesting upload all around

    A couple days ago this turned 7 years old. Which is weird because it doesn't feel like it was that long ago when I made this. I'm just glad I got to put "F :D :D YOU LUIGI" as the deathcry.

  4. World Trade Center

    (I have an alternate version of this stage, made by the same author, where you see Bin Laden captured by Spiderman in the middle with the towers still intact. Would that be okay to upload or would it be a little too much?)

  5. This is a great "bonus stage" sort of character! I'd love for there to be some sort of feature that would randomize the scenes so it'd be a little less predictable, but otherwise it perfectly captures the feeling of the original flash animations. Lots of fun too.

  6. Jaiden Animations

    Alright, since I know there are a few people out there that are concerned about this being a commissioned character: don't be concerned! The author has no intention to profit off of this. Commissioning a MUGEN author works in the exact same way as commissioning art. You pay for their work and not their tools, much like how someone paid SB for Jaiden and not MUGEN. Even Elecbyte themselves said:

    "Under this license, permission is granted to use the M.U.G.E.N
    Environment
    free of charge for non-commercial purposes.
    ...
    Please note that Elecbyte places no restrictions on the distribution
    of character files, stage files, add-on packs, or similar items which
    operate under the M.U.G.E.N Environment, that do not contain any
    significant portion of the M.U.G.E.N Environment itself
    ."

    Now if Jaiden were packaged with the MUGEN engine or whatever, that'd be violating their rules, but as it is, it's perfectly okay.

    Spoiler

    (not a fan of the NSFW animations, but hey, at least i can turn them off)

  7. This is one of the craziest characters I've ever witnessed. And I've played with thousands of characters.
    From the readme alone:

    Quote

    if anyone disturbs his 18-hour sleep, he will pummel them and others in sight to death
    He is one of the few characters to be immune to the Weegee stare; he gets irritated by hypnosis, however.
    If any sexy girl (Even female kids that look like late teens) is close by, Toochie will instantly be infatuated by them {WTF Toochie}
    he is also a professional Pepsi addict
    Despite having many girlfriends, Toochie actually married his sister {WTF Toochie x2}

    With winquotes like "Surrender now Peter Griffin, OR I'LL SUMMON PATRICK PEWTERSCHMIDT AND JAMES WOODS CLONES ON YOU!!!" and "Kids these days remind me of magikarp generations that get weaker and weaker overtime!!!" I originally thought this was some sort of elaborate joke character. As far as I know, it wasn't. Oh and all this is coming out of a self-insert. Insane.

  8. This Ed is very fun: it's great that Wlan used the sound effects from the show, and a lot of his animations are funny and carry the same energy the original cartoon had.  Unfortunately he's also pretty buggy-for example, the standing hard kick alone can take out almost 1/3 of the opponent's life bar-and doesn't function the greatest. Overall though, the presentation is great.

  9. Improved Luigi

    Pretty interesting "what if" edit of Shin and Neo's Luigi that shows what'd it be like if it were fleshed out just a little bit more. Honestly if I were told beforehand that this was an unreleased Luigi update from 2002, I would believe it.

  10. Very weird edits indeed...I don't understand most of them, but they're filled with Korean injokes. Even the name itself is one, it's a joke on how Squidward's Korean name sounds like "miss miss" when said backwards. They're definitely interesting, and kind of like the Korean counterpart to the other squidward edit Joe.

  11. This stage always takes me back to 2011 when I would attempt to build the biggest rosters possible and this came with one of the screenpacks I downloaded. In other words, certified_hood_classic.wav
