I played Castlevania on PSP but I never finished the game, too difficult because you had to beat 2 boss at once.

Like the Gorgon and the werewolf. Symbolic monsters that I read in the children's stories "The Great Adventure".

These guys? Here's how you do it

  2. As most of you probably already know, r/MUGEN is owned by MUGEN Archive and as such bans people for the same frivolous reasons as that site, blocks all discussion of other MUGEN communities, and has all links in the sidebar point to MUGEN Archive.

A few years ago, a couple of people opened up the subreddit r/MUGENFreedom as an alternative subreddit people can post to. Unfortunately, the only active mod deleted their reddit account a few months ago due to the API changes (which is fair and I don't blame them).

Since I felt an alternative was still important to have on the platform, I've taken ownership of r/MUGENFreedom. It's been given a fresh coat of paint, new rules, flairs, all the good stuff. If you want to join a subreddit dedicated to MUGEN, please come on by.

Anything changed on thoughts of 7z support yet? 7-Zip is free and open source, and often has better compression than rar, so outside of some janky technical reasons, it seems like a bit of a strange choice to allow WinRAR but not 7-Zip...

It's especially good when bundling different older versions of the same character, while WinRAR compresses each sprite/sound/etc file separately, 7-Zip seems to see the duplicate data and merge it, often reducing the size as though there was only one copy in there. I download a lot of stuff so I've had a lot of test cases, and most of the time 7z gives the better compression ratio (and zip is pretty badly compressed lol)

Also Windows 11 has now added native support for RAR and 7z: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows11-getting-native-support-for-7-zip-rar-and-gz-archives/ .

To speak frankly here, there is literally no reason to support RAR but not support 7Z. Everyone who can open RAR files can also open 7Z files, and 7Z is generally a better format. 7-Zip is also free software while WinRAR is technically not. Having 7-Zip installed lets you right click and compress as 7z immediately while it takes extra steps to compress as RAR. All around it'd be a lot more convenient if I could upload 7z here as that's what I prefer to use everywhere else.

  4. I'm still trying to work out a good final boss for my build. I don't want it to be one that's already a final boss in a fighting game. I like Asura, the fusion of God Rugal and Shin Akuma, but he's not very strong especially when compared to the likes of Onslaught or Abyss. But I don't want it to be so strong that it can't reasonably be defeated by players.  Not gonna lie, I'm kind of considering God Orochi as the ultimate final boss.

  5. Capcom vs SNK HD Black Edition Screenpack for IKEMEN Go 0.99 (1280x720)

WARNING: This screenpack is designed for use in IKEMEN Go specifically. It will not function correctly on MUGEN.
(But if you want it on MUGEN 1.1, you can get it here.)

Screenpack by Devon, ported to IKEMEN Go by me.

I've brought back this screenpack using the actual motif that was originally designed by Devon. I didn't feel it right that I had released his work under a new name.

I've included an alternative .sff file you can use if you want to use the old "Infinite Legacy" name and logo instead.

The lifebars are the ZIRU-STYLE lifebars, ported with IKEMEN features by xcheatdeath, and further modified by me to fit the screenpack and add ratio support.

There are 120, 204, 492, and 840 slot versions. The default is 204.

  6. Infinite Legacy X HD Screenpack by OroCrimson (IKEMEN Go 0.99 RC2)

Warning: This Screenpack only works with IKEMEN Go version 0.98.2 (possibly higher) set up with a 16:9 resolution! This is not designed to work on MUGEN.

Warning 2: Version 1.1 will not work on IKEMEN Go versions older than 0.99. If you're still using 0.98.2 for whatever reason, use version 1.0.

    Youtube Preview:

    Spoiler

I'm back with another screenpack for IKEMEN Go! This is my favorite to date. I felt inspired by the aesthetic of 90s Capcom fighting games, and wanted to encapsulate that in a screenpack for my personal IKEMEN compilation. I also wanted to make something new using the techniques I learned from editing Devon's CVS Black screenpack (into Infinite Legacy for IKEMEN). Thus, Infinite Legacy X was born!

    Features:

    • Uses standard MUGEN portraits for ease of use.
    • A 504 slot mode for simple use, and a 700 slot mode for more character slots and a slightly better look (imo) at the cost of simplicity
    • Supports IKEMEN features such as combo and tag toast messages, 3v3 and 4v4 battles, ratio battles, and tag battles.
    • Comes with the option to use PotS's active tag system (had to include it as the tag toast message is part of the tag.zss).
    • Or, if choosing to use the default IKEMEN tag, includes a fix that improves compatibility some by changing the tag states used.

Thanks for downloading and I hope you all enjoy!

  7. IKEMEN Generations HD Screenpack by OroCrimson (IKEMEN Go 0.98.2)

Warning: This Screenpack only works with IKEMEN Go version 0.98.2 (possibly higher) set up with a 16:9 resolution! This is not designed to work on MUGEN.

I said I'd do it 4 months ago and I finally got around to it. This is a remaster of my MUGEN Generations screenpack, but for IKEMEN. While I kept the core simplistic design of the original, I wanted to correct what I considered to be some egregious errors as well as create all new health bars that look a lot more polished than the original, and take advantage of a lot of IKEMEN Go's additional features. Most especially, I wanted to let the user install this cleanly rather than providing it with a full MUGEN install like I did before.

    Features:
-A category-based screenpack, something I haven't seen for IKEMEN yet.

-Literally infinite character slots, believe it or not.

-Unlike MUGEN category-based select screens, it doesn't rely on an "invisible grid" that makes switching categories confusing.

-Really cool custom made lifebars based on KOF 2002

-Support for IKEMEN's additional features and modes.

    Known jank:

This screenpack uses IKEMEN's shared slot feature to allow for infinite character slots. This does create a few eccentricities not found in the MUGEN version however:

-When toggling through characters in a category, it'll change that slot for both players. It's best for both players not to browse the same category at the same time.
-When returning to the character select screen, rather than the cursor remembering what character you last chose, it'll instead be on the first character of the category you chose.
-There is no sound effect when switching between characters in the same category.

There is nothing I can do to fix these issues, as that's just how the engine works with this feature at this time.

  8. I like Asura (The fusion of Rugal and Akuma). It's a character we saw briefly at the end of Capcom vs SNK 2 that never got realized canonically since then, but we got it in MUGEN. It feels like a perfect MUGEN final boss. Rugal already feels like a perfect boss for any tournament setting, and a multiversal one at that is pretty good. Add in his God Rugal powers and Shin Akuma's power mixed in to make Asura and it just seems really cool. Unfortunately, he just isn't "boss-y" enough to compete with a lot of other MUGEN characters. A MUGEN boss should be the boss of all bosses, and Asura is actually decently balanced for a boss character and his AI isn't that harsh either.

On a similar note, when I forget I have a certain character installed, let's say Rare Akuma for example, and then run into that certain character all of a sudden

this is one thing I dig about IKEMEN, that we can also exclude characters from Survival there too so that we don't get our whole run stopped by an Akumus Rarus

On the other hand, I think it's kinda funny having him in massive rosters. Out of 1000+ characters, encountering Rare Akuma lives up to his name.

Every software supports zips not 7z you need to download a whole new program to get 7z and winzip can lead to random viruses and crap

Yeah, definitely don't use WinZip, but 7-Zip is free and good software. I noticed you allowed RAR which also isn't supported on Windows unless you install new software. WinRAR also opens .7z files. I don't know any software that opens .rar but not .7z

  12. Joe Higashi XIII by Misterr07

    Created by Misterr07.

Admittedly, not too great. Seems to play fine, but has some really buggy and loud audio that makes it hard to enjoy. Doesn't support widescreen out of the box either, with the power meters positioned for 4:3 only, so it takes tweaking there. That aside, it's the only complete XIII-style Joe I can find.

7z is accepted but will be converted to zip once spotted

If you don't mind the question, I've been wondering why this is the case? Is there something about zip and rar that's preferred over 7z? I use 7-Zip myself and find 7z convenient and afaik every software that can open rar files can also open 7z files

  14. [18+] Athena 97 by Fumitsuki

    View File

One of the only KOF97 Athena I could find online. She's alright, best I've got for my Athena collection right now.

EDIT: Oh god I should have done more thorough testing. This is an 18+ edit. When defeated, an NSFW artwork of Athena flashes on screen. She also has sprites for 18+ character compatibility.
