It was a game for the Leapster Learning Game System, an educational game console from LeapFrog, and it used Genesis sprites rather than sprites more reminiscent of the anime's art style. This version of Sonic is based on that game, using the Nitro Supreme template, the same template used by Evilaso Da Paz and Camren Springer.
