Gilgamesh, also known as Archer, is the secondary antagonist of Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night. Specifically, he is the secondary antagonist of the Fate route, the main antagonist of the Unlimited Blade Works route and a minor antagonist in the Heaven's Feel route. He is also the overarching antagonist of both stories because of his role in corrupting Kirei Kotomine, the main antagonist in both stories. He is also the posthumous overarching antagonist in The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II.
