It's not bad, per se... It's a character everyone's been asking for and it's the most hyped reveal in Ultimate (with Byleth the most loathed), it's just not interesting to some people, me included (I was only interested in that Mii Gunner costume of the Doom Slayer more).

Honestly, as disappointed as I am, I'm happy for those that wanted Sora in all this time and they finally got him.

And that, my friend, was my whole point.  As amazing as it is that Sora is even in Smash, nearly everything about him in Smash just feels generic and uninspired.

God he's actually really generic, probably even for the time where the first Kingdom Hearts came. I din't wanted this character to close the fighters pass actually, probably my less favourite option for a fighter since they started to wanting him in the game. Even if I don't like what he's closing the fighter pass, at least we got Steve.

Waluigi is just a dream now.

There are people who just not shut up about Waluigi, beyond the ongoing harassment from the previous years.

Also, about Sora, Smash Ultimate made him just as generic as in Kingdom Hearts 1, which they based him on.  They should have just based him on Kingdom Hearts III, which is arguably the best version of Sora.  I was hoping, though, that they would give him a similar moveset to his portrayal in Super Smash Flash 2.  Instead, we got a source accurate KH1 Sora, with an overall bland moveset with Hero's neutral special, an INCREDIBLY broken version of Pikachu's up special, Link's up special which can be comboed into the broken side special, yet another damn counter move, and probably THE lamest Final Smash I have ever seen.

Again, for comparison, this is what Sora is like in SSF2:

I actually thought that Caleb from Blood was gonna be in Smash. Guess that dream is dead now.

Late, but I'll be honest, it is literally the most insulting end of all ends of the whole series. Like...for real, I have always wanted Jin Kazama to be in Smash since Smash 4 was in development. Instead, 

Guess he's also a dead dream now like with Waluigi [whose an Assist trophy since Brawl]

A: saw through the mere fangame so he went for the KH1 Sora

or B: ...likes his Sora pure of heart and untainted by darkness or "the edge"...whatever people called it...
