Rare Akuma 01.05.2022

This character is absolutely hilarious and still one the strongest M.U.G.E.N characters of all time with hitbox and without being a null character. I like it when he does bring down the death star or moon on top of his opponents and does the Shun Goku Satsu with funky music and then sends them to statue of Akuma, grow giant sized and stomp them, or cause them to explode. Also like when I hear "TURN OFF THAT LIGHT!" When his lightning effects stop for a brief moment and when he does his Benny Hill chase victory pose.

If you want  crazy and intense fights, then he is a must have.

I cannot believe it.  It's been almost a decade and a half since Rare Akuma's last update in 2008, and he's been finalized in 2022!  Imagine that!

Needless to say, Rare Akuma remains a god amongst M.U.G.E.N. characters.  There is a reason why he remains in 1st Division on SpriteClub, with 884 matches on record, and a win-loss ratio of 35 to 26.  This guy may have been surpassed by many degrees of cheap characters and cheapies, but he still holds his title as a god amongst them all.

I would not rate most cheap M.U.G.E.N. characters five stars if they were cheap and nothing more.  That would just be boring and undeserved.  Rare Akuma, along with Omega Tom Hanks, is insanely cheap while being fricking hilarious!  One minute, he's spawning in through smoking weed, fusing Ryu and Ken together, or falling from the sky.  The next minute, he's raining skull hadoukens from his palms, teleporting with his shoryukens and tatsumaki senpukyakus, or rapidly charging power.  The minute after that, he's spawning an army of miniature clones of himself, bringing down the moon or the Death Star like DIO, trapping enemies with the Giant Katamari Ball of Random Characters, or OHKOing fools with a Shun Goku Satsu with funky music.  After all of that, he's either sent opponents to the Statue of Akuma or having some narrator recite insightful words.  Truly a sight to behold when he came out AND to this day!

If you want any crazily cheap fights in your M.U.G.E.N. game, Rare Akuma is a must have!  More of a must have than the Uncommon Akuma, at least.

Formerly one of the most powerful characters of his time, his damage scaling made ko-ing him in a reasonable time frame a nightmare. Now, MUGEN today has characters far above him.

To this day he remains the most popular character to ever exist, alongside Dark Donald. Those two will always be the most famous of all time.
