  1. April O'Neil

    April O'Neil by Ryon

This is April as she appears in the recent TMNT beat-'em-up, Shredder's Revenge. She can combo pretty well and has around 3 hypers. Sadly, she cannot block (instead relying on a actual mechanic in the game), she does not have any specials, and she still uses KFM's winquotes. She's still a pretty good character with all those considered.

  2. MvC Kung Fu Man Template Edit

Original by Ryon, edited by me

This was made to improve the template some and have some more changes relating to my taste, as well as compete with CrossoverLover98's template. Changes include:

    Spoiler
    • Added a new intro, as well as seperated the two intros. Useful if your character has more than one intro.
    • Gives players 1000 power for starting a match, which is accurate to how the MvC games work.
    • Seperated specials and hypers into seperate .cns files. While adding more files, it helps organize the character better.
    • Damage dampener added.
    • Power value change = 3000 > 5000, also making it accurate to MvC.
    • Tweaked explod in the jumpland state from AnimTime to Time to prevent the lag in the landing effect.
    • Replaced "Hyper Combo Finish" callout with that from MvC2. Honestly sounds cooler.
    • Changed KO cry (11, 0) back to default KFM's.
    • Properly labeled Triple Kung Fu Palm as a hyper.
    • Made Triple Kung Fu Palm slightly weaker.
    • Tweaked how comboing works.
      • Light > Medium > Heavy, with light punch and kick able to combo into one to the other
    • Removed "NoKOSlow" from Statedef -3.

A screenpack based off aesthetics of the mid-late 2000s. Comes with two versions, one that holds 159 characters, and another that holds 759.

Both files preloaded with the screenpack over fresh MUGEN builds. systemA.def (159 slots) is selected by default (and is the select screenshot). 640x480.

1st file: MUGEN 1.0 preloaded with screenpack, already set up
2nd file: MUGEN 1.1 preloaded with screenpack, already set up

Lifebars included are the Marvel Super Heroes lifebar by Doorhenge and edited for 1.0 and 1.1 by Brow_777, as the screenpack came without lifebars.

  4. Norman

Norman by Josh Geary (original character by dagamer5091)

Yeah, this version of Norman was the only one that could be downloaded until earlier this year. Not great, as the par with this other guy's creations. Bad sprites, stolen code, stolen (and unfitting) voiceclips... the whole sha-bang. This is also the latest version you can get without having to resort to an Archive account. The link is surprisingly still active, so that's surprising. Includes two DEFs for versions with and without AI.

  5. Norman

    Norman by dagamer5091

This original character is an interesting thing. He was thought to be lost and which led to... a certain someone making his own version of this OC (that one's next to be uploaded) until September 2nd this year, where it was uploaded to Archive and proving to the community that characters like this can be found. He only has one special and one hyper, due to him having been made a joke character of sorts. Uploaded here to break the Archive exclusivity (at least as far as I know of).

  6. Potaydo

Potaydo by Potaydo (there is an actual author behind this but I'd rather not mention the name for obvious reasons)

A glitchy parody edit of Taydo's self-insert, Christian, made after the author behind the original basically said girls can't play Smash (more specifically, Melee), and a lot of other dumb crap I'm not gonna mention (for obvious reasons).

A lot of his effects stay on screen and I'm gonna mention a potential seizure warning, so if you're affected by stuff like that, maybe don't download this

  7. .GIFfany

    .GIFfany by Dream Chord

I can't really tell if this is supposed to be a boss or not. All you do is attack clones of .GIFfany as she pretty much blocks your screen. Oh yeah, she also gets mad if you perform a hyper, much like the Gravity Falls episode she originates from. I am also unsure if this works outside of WinMUGEN, as that's the only version of MUGEN I tested this on.

  8. Duke Nukem

"It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of gum."

While technically not a newcomer to Vargverse, this version of Duke is instead built from the ground up. He has everything from Duke 3D at his disposal, be that his guns, his power-ups, those alien bastards shooting up his ride, and the jetpack. Also has interactions against Uncle Joel, Doomguy, Ahnuld the T-800/Terminator, Carl "CJ" Johnson, and even himself. Also the file name is named after this hilarious bit of Joel's:

  9. Tim Allen/Taylor

Tim Taylor (played by Tim Allen) from Home Improvement by Brergrsart

One of the newcomers in the full game Vargverse, and a sitcom character actually done right. Uses moves based off and sprites from the (rather infamous) SNES game based off the series, as well as a few show references thrown into the mix. Honestly one of the reasons I was pumped for this game to come out.

    Moveset can be found here.

  10. Dreamland

Dreamland from The Simpsons Arcade Game by yours truly.

Arcade1Up is rereleasing this game soon for the 30th anniversary of it, so I rushed this out because of the news. Very simple stage due to rushing it, but I tried to make it look good. Stage track is also looped, and zoom .def is also included. Both versions work best in 1.1, so I reccomend using that for this stage due to noticing issues with 1.0.

  11. All Might

    All Might by thepyrohero

A rather broken and stiff All Might made using the MvC:EoH template, as well as edited Superman sprites (which said edits... are weird). There isn't much to speak of as he only has a few specials and hypers. Said hypers kill normal characters rather easy (even if they block) due to the high damage values and his 130 attack.

Thanks to @CamHead for helping me provide this one, as well as my previous upload.

An edit of a version of Dizzy based of the MUGEN Archive admin of the same name. A cheap character with possibly what seems like Rare Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu and health regen. Not even Time Overs or F1 presses can save your ass.

    Uploaded only for collection purposes.

  13. Windows for Workgroups/Windows 3.11 [1.0 Edit]

Windows for Workgroups (Hi-Res) by Renzo (original here), edited by yours truly.

An edit I did for the hi-res version of the stage to make it work properly on 1.0/1.1. Main changes are delta value edits and adding localcoord to make it fit 4:3 480p. Also included is a much better track, Velkommen (Original Mix), seen below.

  14. Xena

Xena from Xena: Warrior Princess by Christian Núñez

This version of Xena uses sprites from a GBC game (which are ugly as hell), and has two specials and one hyper. The AI in this one is horrendous, as if you're not careful, prepare to be taken down by spam. There really isn't a lot to say about her other than the readme refers to her as a guy, which is way more amusing than fighting this thing.

  15. Boyfriend

    Boyfriend by Camren Springer

This is a... version of Boyfriend. It's not the worst, or the cheapest, but it's alright. Uses sprites based on the game like pvzfan92's version, but with a lot less moves, Girlfriend watching the fight (with one move of her own), and a unique speaker move. Doesn't really set it apart from most of the versions of Boyfriend, though, as most of the moves are the same.

  16. SpongeBob SquarePants

    SpongeBob SquarePants by MyYoutube Rocks

In honor of the character's birthday, here's a SpongeBob that has decent custom sprites, but is really lacking.

Has all standing basics, reuses all animations for crouching attacks, and has no air basics. Also has two specials, only one dealing damage, a generic Wlanman-ish projectile hyper, and a Goofy Goober Rock hyper that's really inconsistant with sprites, opting for GBA sprites instead.

The sprites are good, but I'd stick with The 14th Doctor's edits of either FelixMario or Madoldcrow's SpongeBobs.

  17. Super Mario World - Overworld

    Overworld by yours truly, Garfieldfan.

The other one of two stages I made for a MFFA/MFG double release. This is my take on SMW's overworld areas, complete with blocks, pipes, coins, bushes and enemies in the background. This has a restored track as the BGM, which was looped by me (I had plans on looping the Yoshi varient, maybe in a update to it), as well as Super Jump and (1.1 only) enemies in the background and zoom. I might consider the possibility of a forest varient of the stage but this is it for now.

SMWOverworld.def is the lacking 1.0 version and SMWOverworld-1.1.def is the 1.1 version that has zoom and enemies in the background. (All 3 screenshots are taken on the 1.1 DEF version.)

  18. Dodge Ball

Dodge Ball by yours truly, Garfieldfan.

One of the stages I did for a double release on MFFA and MFG. This is the stage from one of the bonus modes in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, which was added alongside The Knives Chau Add-On Pack on the day the movie came out on DVD and Blu-Ray (which I hope to get at some point).

Stage has a track from the OST, also looped by me, and has been expanded to allow the sky to reach both sides of the stage, as well as allowing Super Jumps. Might also make a version replacing Lucas Lee with Lisa Miller since people might already have him in their rosters.

  19. Emilia AI Removal Patch

For Emilia by Light, patch done by Garfieldfan (me).

This patch makes fighting Emilia much more tolerable, as her AI shouldn't be around the same ranks as The_None's Thanos, YU-TOHARU's Miku or Brergrsart's Me and the Boys anymore (as in "someone like me should never face that godforsaken AI"). If I knew what the hell was up with blocking in the air, I'd fix that, too, but I'm leaving it at this point for now.

(Also KFM has not been patched or anything in that screenshot.)

  20. Boyfriend

Boyfriend from Friday Night Funkin' by pvzfan92

    (Stance resized for my sanity)

A more recent version of the blue-haired hero, but God, he's such a mess. Especially where assists are concerned. He has custom AI (or maybe that from the template he used) and a majority of the assists come from mods rather than the actual game. And multiple can be on screen at the same time. Even worse? The internal files that call him Keith, when it obviously isn't his name (that's been made official it wasn't, BTW).

I can't tell which is worse, testing this to almost lose my sanity on Mother's Day, or the author saying DDLC sucks on one of his uploads of his Baldi (which his game is pretty awful for a parody, too). I'm just glad this didn't use the SMvC: EoH template.
